Looks like I’m the only one who’s had a good experience. I bought a piece of computer rack equipment and a microphone on two separate transactions…both were fine. In fact I was able to return the microphone because it used a bandwidth that the FCC doesn’t allow anymore. A quick google search will tell you you’re legally obligated to disclose that if you’re selling one…and they didn’t disclose (or likely even know) that. I explained my situation and I was able to return it without incident. I had to drive back to the location, obviously… but there was no problem.
If you know what you’re looking for, I’ve obtained good deals.
Overall…it’s an auction…there’s an inherent risk. By definition you’re buying something someone doesn’t want anymore…and you’re willing to pay more than anyone else who’s watching.
